Jeannie grew up in Power Generation, a male dominated business she loved it, navigating it successfully for 21 years before she started her business Practice of Positivity Leadership Consulting. She learned to have tough skin, work hard, be intentional, confront difficult situations, lean on her upbringing and faith, and learn how navigate the culture of a company.

She began her career, after a short stent as a co-op student, in a sales development program. That 14 month rotational program prepared her quickly for a field sales engineer assignment. Following that stepping stone experience, Jeannie came back to Power Generation corporate headquarters, working for the President of Sales running Sales Operations.

Over the course of those 16 years, Jeannie spent 6 months studying at a private university in Japan, she took on a number of leadership roles in Diversity and Inclusion. She and her co-chair lead the company diversity initiatives so well as a team, they were able to rank the company in the top 10 companies to work for, declared by the Association of Diversity Councils. This placement landed Jeannie an assignment to Singapore and India for a 2-week delegation shadowing an international CEO.

It was during the visit to the White House and over a dinner in NYC, Jeannie was asked to take a new role and move from Sales to corporate HR. This role allowed her to engage with students and faculty and speak at over 30 universities on different leadership topics.

Again, if the words on her profile (LinkedIn) describe needs that your people have, you need to at least talk to Jeannie, you will not regret it.
